Dr. Franklin’s Panchakarma Institute is situated within walking distance of Chowara Beach, but offers two unique benefits: (1) its pricing is considerably lower than the beach resorts in the same area, and (2) it has a decent fitness centre (gym). Many people come to Dr Franklin’s for a long duration stay (typically three weeks) in order to undergo panchakarma (detoxification) or physical rehabilitation following an injury or accident. With respect to food, two things are particularly memorable about this resort: the fresh juices and the soups. In addition, for those who looking very high-quality accommodations at “economy” rates, Dr. Franklin’s now offers beautiful large villas with king beds and 5-star quality amenities.
