Mission Statement

"The mission of Ayurooms is transform lives by helping people to discover and access the best health resorts in India and to adopt an Ayurveda lifestyle and mindset."

Transforming Lives

The purpose of Ayurooms is transform lives. Every individual who comes to Ayurooms should leave feeling transformed: physically, mentally, emotionally and even spiritually. Our clients are those who want transformation. They want to transform their health. They want to live better. They want to eat better. They want to know how to care for their bodies. They are proactive about preventing ill health, not just treating it. The role of Ayurooms is to understand these aspirations, nurture them, support them, and help people realize them.

Helping People

Our job is to help people, regardless of whether they come to Ayurooms or not. Therefore, Ayurooms is not just a destination, tour operator or travel agent. We are, first and foremost, evangelists of Ayurveda and yoga. While we strongly believe and desire that everyone in the world should come to India and experience panchakarma at least once in a lifetime, if not once a year, we recognize that not everyone can travel. Therefore, we must become more than just a travel company. We must make available the tools and information by which people can discover Ayurveda and incorporate it into their lives.

Discover

Although Ayurveda has been around for 5,000 years, most of the world has never heard of Ayurveda. Therefore, communication must precede conversion. The world needs to know about Ayurveda and how it can benefit them. The growth of veganism, the revival of organic farming and consumption, the gluten-free movement, and the rising popularity of yoga are all signposts that the world is moving towards healthier living and holistic wellness. But despite all these positive trends, happiness and good health continue to elude people while depression, anxiety, addiction, and weak immune systems continue to spread. Ayurveda offers solutions to all of these woes. Our job at Ayurooms is to help people discover Ayurveda and access Ayurveda resorts and resources, with a view to leading healthier and happier lives.

Access

Global access to Ayurvedic doctors, Ayurvedic resorts, Ayurvedic treatment, Ayurvedic cooking, Ayurvedic recipes, Ayurvedic nutritionists, Ayurvedic training courses, and Ayurvedic principles of good living is very low. Moreover, the Ayurveda industry, within and outside India, is deeply fragmented with no authority and no one actively bringing these diverse pieces of the puzzle together. Hence, the role of Ayurooms is to enable access to Ayurveda, starting with Ayurvedic resorts, and become a recognized global authority in the field of Ayurveda.

Best Health Resorts

Ayurveda is fundamentally about healthcare. Proactive healthcare and reactive healthcare. Therefore, we believe it is correct to refer to Ayurveda resorts as "health resorts". When we say "health resort", we mean physical destinations that offer Ayurvedic treatment for detoxification, longevity, rejuvenation, and the alleviation of non-communicable diseases. Our health resorts may, in some places, offer naturopathy, Reiki, Pranic healing, Western therapies, Chinese medicine, physiotherapy and/or other natural therapies, alongside Ayurveda and yoga. We support interdisciplinary approaches and disdain dogma, while championing Ayurveda and yoga.

There are over 4,000 health resorts, hospitals, homestays and holistic health centres in India. They differ vastly in terms of treatments, accommodations, hygiene, pricing, inclusions, amenities, culinary practices, and numerous other "touch points". For the foreign traveler to India, finding the right health resort is a nightmare. There is no authoritative platform that helps people to figure out where to go and why to go there. That is where we come in. The role of Ayurooms is to help people identify the best health resort for their unique needs and then to help them book the resort: the right room, the right package, the right mix of services, at the right price. This is what we mean by "access".

India

People often ask us why they need to travel to India for Ayurvedic treatment. The answer is simple: health is linked to our internal and external environment. From time to time, we need to remove ourselves from the very environments that contributed to ill health in the first place. Western doctors such as Dr. Bruce Lipton, Dr. Joe Dispenza, and others have recently discovered what Ayurveda had revealed centuries ago, namely that our health is an expression of the internal and external environment in which our genes and cells operate.

Ayurveda works on our internal and external body. The same goes for yoga. By coming to a retreat centre in India, we offer the body and mind the opportunity to heal at an accelerated pace. Ayurveda and yoga combined with the ambience of a beautiful resort provide our body, our cells, our genes, our intelligence, and our innate resources with the environmental conditions that it needs to detoxify, heal, rejuvenate, and recharge. Hence, people need to come to India.

By helping people come to India, Ayurooms is essentially enabling them to step out of their familiar patterns and environments to focus on health transformation. Then they can return to their home countries with fresh vitality, renewed optimism, new knowledge, and balanced energies, that is, a better internal environment for operating in their external environments at home and work.

Ayurveda Lifestyle

Health transformation is not an end but a journey. It is a continual commitment. The greater part of a health transformation takes place not at a health resort but when one returns home and adopts certain lifestyle habits and rituals. Ayurveda offers copious amounts of prescriptions on what to eat, when to eat, how to eat, and under what conditions to eat. The same goes for sleep, sex, cooking, drinking and other lifestyle choices. Ayurveda does not separate health and life, work and life, or relationships and life. They are all intertwined. Therefore, to support people's health and happiness, Ayurooms must creates tools and resources that enable people to adopt and sustain an Ayurvedic lifestyle but one that they own, embrace and share with others.

Mindset

To adopt and sustain an Ayurvedic lifestyle requires a certain mindset, rooted in motivation, inspiration and knowledge. Ayurooms will define what it means to have an Ayurvedic mindset, so that people can adopt, adapt and sustain an Ayurvedic lifestyle.
