Ayurveda at Raviz Kadavu

The Ayurveda centre or spa at the Raviz Kadavu operates under the name of Favourite Kerala Ayurveda. It offers the full suite of panchakarma treatments including basti (medicated enemas), nasya (nasal irrigation), vamana (therapeutic induced vomiting), virechana (purgation or induced diarrhea), and raktamokshana (blood letting). Snehapa or ghee drinking, in the authentic way, can also be done at the Raviz Kadavu along with the proper diet. 

The spa at the Raviz Kadavu houses four Ayurveda treatment rooms as well as two Western-style therapy rooms for non-Ayurveda treatments, such as Thai massage, Swedish massage, sports massage, foot reflexology, facials and other therapies. 

There are two in-house Ayurvedic doctors at the Raviz Kadavu: a male doctor and a female doctor. 

A consultation with one or both doctors is typically scheduled shortly after arrival at the Raviz Kadavu. The consultation typically lasts from 30 minutes to 1 hour. It can be longer, depending on the complexity of a person's health condition. After the consultation, the doctor will schedule one or two treatments per day, lasting around 90 minutes daily.  The treatments can be longer or shorter in duration, again depending on the person's condition as well as his or her overall length of stay. ​

Yoga at Raviz Kadavu

Group yoga is typically included in an Ayurveda-based treatment program. At the Raviz Kadavu, yoga is usually scheduled in the morning at 7:00 am. However, there is flexibility and, with the assistance of Ayurooms, we can arrange to schedule your yoga session at a time that is most convenient to you. Each session typically lasts up to one hour. 

Private one-on-one yoga training can be arranged by Ayurooms on request. In addition, more specialized or intensive yoga training can be arranged alongside other complimentary therapies such as Pranic healing or energy healing. 

Room Categories

STANDARD ROOM

The Standard Room is the most affordable room category at the Raviz Kadavu. There is the option of either a king bed or two twin beds. Air conditioning is included. There is no balcony or special view.

RIVERVIEW ROOM

The Riverview Room is one category higher than the Standard Room.  It offers more space, a better bathroom, and a balcony with a beautiful view of the river and surrounding luscious landscape.

The easiest way to reach Raviz Kadavu is to fly into Calicut (CCJ). From there, the drive is roughly 20 minutes. From CCJ, you can hire an Uber, Ola or private taxi.
